I work tirelessly to protect my clients’ freedom and rights.

Are You Facing Federal Charges in Arizona?

When you are arrested on federal charges, the resources against you are almost unlimited. The government has FBI and Border Patrol agents, crime labs, prosecutors and judges lined up against you. The accused have two strong means of defense. One: Their constitutional rights. Two: Their attorney. In order to protect your rights and your freedom, it’s important to choose an experienced lawyer with a record of tough, effective criminal defense.

At the Law Offices of Roger H. Sigal, L.L.C., in Oro Valley, I have been successfully defending clients against federal charges for more than 25 years. My legal skills and knowledge protect the rights and liberties of people accused of crimes involving drug crimes, white collar crimes, and crimes that involve immigration issues such as those facing severe reentry/deportation charges and penalties.

  • Reentry and deportation: These cases often involve an immigrant who was convicted of a crime in the U.S., was deported, and has reentered the country, only to face more criminal charges. The federal sentencing guidelines in these cases are extremely harsh. It is extremely important to contact an attorney skilled in both immigration and criminal law matters.
  • Drug crimes: Because this region is so close to the border, there are a disproportionate number of people here charged with smuggling drugs from Mexico. In most cases, you are facing 5 to 10 years in prison on these charges. My focus here is on examining possible rights violations in search and seizure. I also have years of experience in negotiating favorable terms with prosecutors.
  • Undocumented persons smuggling: If you bring an undocumented person across the border, you face a mandatory sentence of three years in prison. I will carefully examine your case for grounds on which to successfully challenge the investigation conducted by Border Patrol agents.
  • Gun crimes: Call an attorney as soon as possible if you are facing charges of possessing a firearm in connection with a drug or other offense.
